IRS Will Disallow Exemptions/Credits Claimed if SSNs Do Not Match SSA Records

This year, if the names and/or numbers do not match Social Security Administration (SSA) records, the IRS will disallow exemptions and/or credits claimed on a return based on the invalid or missing identification number. This could reduce the refund amount or increase the balance due amount.

Organizers and Y2K

So check the SSN for our dependents on your organizer. We are also asking for you your birth date instead on your are on this years organizer because IRS is now requesting it under certain conditions. We expect to have all organizers mailed by 1-15.

We have made major additions to our computer Systems and came through Y2K without a hitch.
